I wish I could say that I created the business model called the
Marketing Funnel, but it has actually been in existence for many
years. This model is so powerful and has been used to transform many
businesses just like yours! It acts as a guide to help you create
multiple streams of income. Being a successful entrepreneur is about
turning time into money, and having more than one income stream is
arguably the best way to do just that. This business model
illustrates the way to leverage your time and knowledge which will
allow you greater freedom and success in your life and business. (more…)

What Is a Marketing Funnel?
Friday, August 28th, 2009Networking Discoveries from an Introverted Entrepreneur
Wednesday, August 26th, 2009To some, the word “networking” conjures up ideas about stale
meetings, a dry chicken entrée, or a room full of strangers where
you feel completely out of place. Palms sweating and a head filled
with negative thoughts, you enter the meeting thinking of ways to
make a quick exit and get on with your “real” work.
I know these feelings because I used to be this person I described
above! This may shock some of you who know me through business, but
I’m really an introvert at heart. As a former amateur figure skater
and theatre performance minor and with hundreds of performances
under my belt, I am quite accustomed to being in front of groups of
hundreds and thousands. However, entering a conference room filled
with people I don’t know and stack of my business cards in my purse
used to really get my knees knocking! But I kept doing it because
somehow I knew it would be helpful to my business. What I didn’t
realize is how much it would also help me personally. I don’t recall
exactly when the shift happened for me, but I slowly uncovered a few
things that made formal networking meetings much easier and even
quite enjoyable for me. Here are few of my discoveries: (more…)

Leveraged Income That Works Like a Charm
Monday, August 10th, 2009
One of things I love the most about my business is introducing my new clients to the concept of the marketing funnel and watching their eyes light up when they see the possibilities for themselves! The marketing funnel is a simple concept, but the impact of it can be so enormous that once the concept sinks in, people start to see that there is more to their business than just working one-on-one with clients. Not that working one-on-one with clients is a bad thing – it’s not all, as it’s a very important part of a marketing funnel – but the idea of leveraging knowledge, helping more people and making more money in less time is highly appealing! Three Simple Steps to Creating Business Systems
Friday, August 7th, 2009At the beginning of the school year, I needed to purchase supplies for my first grader. Fortunately the PTO at our school had a supply sale, so I didn’t have to go hunting all over town for the correct item. So off I went to purchase my supplies to find that the PTO had even prepackaged the supplies in a bag for me so all I had to do was pick up the bag and pay for it. I was in heaven! “What a great system,” I was thinking. However, I realized that the supplies must have weighed 10 pounds, and my daughter had to schlep them back to the school in her backpack. She was taking them right back to where I went to purchase them in the first place! Why couldn’t I have just sent in my check for the bag that was already prepared? Why did I have to take my time to drive to the school, wait in line to pay, drive home, load them on the back of my first grader and have her take them right back to the school where I had just purchased them? That seemed pretty inefficient to me. The system was great up to a point, and then it broke. (more…)
