In this clip below, actor Will Smith says several interesting things.  One thing is that he doesn’t want to be an icon. Rather, he wants to be an idea. He wants to represent an idea.  Specifically, he wants to represent possibilities.  Magic.  Taking it one step further, he talks about the power of making a choice – just deciding to create whatever you want to create.  That we can choose to be. But it starts with a decision. 

This is indeed powerful.  I’m great at this in some areas and still working on it in others.  How about you?

By public speaking, I’m referring to speaking in front of a live audience, or being a guest on a teleseminar, podcast or online radio show or so forth. And rest assured, there are plenty of organizations in your community who are actively looking for speakers. Your local chamber of commerce and local networking groups are great places to start.
